It’s mid-October and if you’re anything like me, you’re likely itching to get away. The good news is that since this is the low season for travel, many airlines and tour operators have discounts going on to entice you to book now.

Many of these deals tend to wrap up in mid-late October so now is the time to book a getaway. Sure, you could wait until Black Friday to see if any other deals come up, but why wait when you can lock something down now? Here are some of the top October travel deals.

Travelodge/Wyndham has one of the best hotel deals out there right now. Wyndham Rewards members will earn 15,000 Wyndham Rewards bonus points when they stay twice at participating hotels in Canada. 15,000 Wyndham Rewards points are enough for a free night any hotel, condo, resort, BnB, etc. that’s in the Wyndham portfolio so there’s a lot of value with this promotion. 15% off trekking tours in Nepal, Europe, and Colombia

Adventure travel company, G Adventures currently has a sale on their trekking tours in Nepal, Europe and Colombia. Many people know that Nepal is famous for their treks so now is the time to book if it’s always been on your bucket list. Colombia is an upcoming destination, but one of their hidden gems is the Lost City which you’ll trek to with an experienced guide. As for Europe, there are multiple countries with trekking tours including Spain, Norway and Italy. Trips must be booked by the end of October with travel dates between January 1 and December 31, 2019.

Okay, this isn’t a true travel deal, but the CIBC Aventura Visa Infinite card is about to include additional features that are sure to appeal to travellers. As of October 15, 2018, cardholders will get a PriorityPass membership and four free airport lounge passes every year. You’ll also get mobile device insurance up to $1,000 and enhanced travel insurance. The CIBC Aventura Visa Infinite card was already on my list of the best travel credit cards in Canada, so these extra benefits are beautiful.
