This is very timely as my stepfather just passed away on June 2nd. He was 95 and had a great long life. He and my mother had purchased a prepaid cremation service a few years ago. I can’t express the relief of not having to figure out what to do or who to call. One phone call and everything was set into motion. My mother ended up purchasing an urn from another seller and there were no issues. We will be having a simple gathering when my mom is feeling more stable. At the time of grief is no time to be making huge emotional financial decisions at a funeral home. Brain fog is a real thing. I am always amazed that people are reluctant to address this ahead of time. Death is inevitable so arrangements will have to be made.
